TheSterling by MusicMan basses are nice, but they really aren't ErnieBall MusicMan quality. Whether the extra money is worth it really depends on the individual. But the days of getting a used EBMM Stingray for $1000 are over. If you do find one under a grand, I would be very concerned that it's stolen.
MusicMan guitars have an awesome reputation but you pay a lot for it, so they have a more budget friendly range called Sterling. I haven't had good experiences with Cutlass CT30 (neither have others, Elmo Karjalainen on YouTube said the one he bought was one of the worst guitars he'd ever seen), however the CT50 has got rave reviews.

inoticed over the years how many very good older guitarists, and session musos use the small Music Mann 2 x 10 amps. i asked a few why they used that particular amp, and often they said the size and weight, verses the sound was good. good for gigs and carting around was a common reply. also being tube soundwise they are great.
EBMMguitars are made PRS good with extremely good QC, on ever instrument I have seen. Music Man makes great guitars but they tend to be geared toward the pro player rather than joe average
